FLORINITY

FUNCTIONAL ART: FLORINITY is a portable bar crafted from perforated metal, inspired by the African landscape and the fluid strength of women. Commissioned by Una Vodka, the piece reimagines the brand's iconic bottle as a catalyst for art, sustainability, and social connection.

At its center blooms a repurposed Una Vodka bottle-top flower, transformed into a countertop — a poetic act of adaptive reuse that merges design, craftsmanship, and environmental consciousness. Through this transformation, a discarded object is elevated into a focal point of beauty and utility, embodying the principles of circular design.

More than a bar, FLORINITY is a functional sculpture that celebrates transformation — where landscape meets body, and function becomes art. Each drink poured becomes a gesture of connection, while the material palette and organic forms evoke themes of resilience, regeneration, and the enduring relationship between people and place.

Blurring the boundaries between furniture, sculpture, and social space, the work invites audiences to gather, engage, and reflect on the possibilities of sustainable design. Through its fusion of storytelling, craftsmanship, and adaptive reuse, FLORINITY demonstrates how everyday materials can be transformed into meaningful cultural artifacts.

FLORINITY was exhibited during Design Miami and at The Standard, Miami, contributing to conversations around contemporary design, sustainability, and functional art. Situated within two of Miami's most influential cultural destinations, the installation showcased a distinctly African-inspired design language while celebrating innovation, material transformation, and the power of design to bring people together.
